Sealed Air’s business is about protecting things – what we eat and drink; the valuable goods we ship; and the places we shop, learn, work, vacation and receive health care. It’s a responsibility they take very seriously, for their customers and for the world.
Today, they are the global leader in food safety and security, facilities hygiene, and product protection. Their customers all over the world look to them for global infrastructure, expertise, inventive culture and sustainable practices.
The Problem
Sealed Air launched a new product in January 2012 called ‘PAK Natural’ – it’s a 100% biodegradable packing chip, similar to the old polystyrene chip we all know and love. Sealed Air recognised that the product doesn’t have any aspirational characteristics and would also be difficult to get and keep their customers’ attention using traditional methods of point of sale.
The Solution
MAK proposed creating a short animation that would tell the story from sawing the seed, harvesting the crop through to testing and quality control, ensuring it also highlighted the product’s key features and benefits.
MAK created an animation that walks the viewer through the whole process from start to finish using a style that is both entertaining and easy to follow. The animation is due to be reproduced into fourteen languages as they launch the product Worldwide. The animation is available on their website and their sales team show it from their laptops.
